Bee mentions in the first movie “needing to skip town again”. It’s unclear how long it’s been going on before Cole. Bee sells her soul to save Phoebeīee starts doing her babysitting and cult gathering gig. My impression is the general timeline was: So as people have said why did no one believe Cole? Why did no one care about missing teens or cops? Idk. Also, Max tells Cole he will give him a head start to run and Cole says that isn't fair since he is the quarterback. Like the flashbacks to OG crew and how Bee recruited them looks as someone said like it was from the 80s but in 1st movie Allison tells John she just came from game/practice and wasn't going to miss this which is why she is still wearing her cheerleading outfit (though in the first movie it was a skirt and not pants she was wearing). Yes there are issues with continuity and all but I still enjoyed it. She wanted to save Cole and Phoebe and rigged the events.
As Bee said once you figure out what you want you'll do anything to get it. As to Melanie, Bee probably approached her and made an offer and saw that not only was Melanie willing to take the deal but kill Cole as well. My guess is she sought out people that were weak, easily manipulated and were desperate enough to want to make a deal with Devil. She says that turned her and probably made her remember when Phoebe said it and remembered why she became a demon in first place. Cole at end of movie tells Bee that he loved her. Bee wakes up in hospital and asks about Phoebe and is told she won't survive but that if she could what would Bee give? She says anything and essentially sold her soul to save Phoebe.Īfter losing her soul and becoming demon she is recruited to get others to sell their souls to the Devil. They went to find her Bunny doll she left on beach and ended up crashing into parent's car and all went off cliff killing Phoebe's parents. That’s my rough take in an attempt to make a janky storyline make more sense. So I think B wanted to end that cycle to protect Cole, which is why she had previously recruited Melanie to the cult, but also arranged things so that Cole and Phoebe would wind up together and Cole would no longer be “innocent.” Shirtless dude says that if they don’t kill Cole tonight they return to limbo for 2 years before they can try again. I would assume she used some demon powers to flee the scene and clean up the evidence, which is why no one believed cole about the cult. Though after everything went to hell, she did try to kill him, but even then her heart didn’t seem to be entirely in it, as she cared for him. We see her initial motivation is to steal cole’s blood while he is sleeping, and not hurt him.
I think her “deal” was that she would recruit other people to sign their souls away in exchange for the devil curing Phoebe, so this is what she was doing in movie 1. Tried filling in some blanks and here is what I have come up with:
